This is not a traditional roleplay, as you have probably seen from the board design. Rather than an open-ended world, where it gets easy to get lost and lose focus, the site is divided into: Books, Parts, and Chapters. The world of Pishon is RICH with history and development, and you are a part of creating the storylines that exist within this world. Each book has an overarching, yet not specifically-defined plot, to give it leeway to changes and user-input. If you are interested in exploring a character storyline, all you have to do is write it.
The reason I did this, is because this is an adventure storyline, following the citizens of Pishon, and their journey into a whole new world. I wanted to make it so that you experience the world very much like your characters. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way, and I want everyone to really enjoy a lot of the stories that I hope to share with Pishon.
The Plot begins within the town of Pishon. Pishon is completely cut off from the rest of the world, guarded by giants that block the exits, where no one is allowed in or out of the town. It has been like this for centuries. The town is ruled by Olga, the matriarch. She is a sweet lady, who heavily advises and councils every issue that goes on in the town, from personal issues to public policy.
The town is governed by a set of law books called the Rashji Code. This code is required to be followed by all the members in the town, and may not be broken. Anyone who breaks the code is sent to the Giants for immediate persecution. There hasn't been a persecution in over a century, because the codes aren't a strict as they may appear. Simply no discussing the demon Yhen, and participating in the collective community so that everyone benefits from the work, much like communism. The Matriarch follows these laws to a T, and never does anything for her own gain, because she breaks the code if she does so.
Within the Rashji Code is also a obscure history that barely recaps the history of the Code. A great leader named Rashja had created the code in order to help the people of Ger'Shai (the continent in which the story is set) live long, healthy lives. Before Rashja, the world had lived in utter chaos. Brothers turned on brothers, and children killed their parents. So, in order to create harmony, Rashja created the Code to stop the evil and give direction to a lost world. Fortunately, after the code was implemented, it slowly created harmony in the world, except for a demon named Yhen.
Yhen ruled the south part of the world with a fiery fist. He created troops in order to destroy the harmony that existed. Rashja soon discovered that Yhen's troops were infiltrating the harmonious world, and had to make the tough choice to exterminate any and all that opposed peace. For three hundred years, there was the Rashji Wars, as the Rashji tried to escape persecution, and survive against Yhen. However, everything turned for the worse, when Yhen placed Rashja under a spell to prevent him from leading his troops. No one knows where he went, or how to free him.
With Rashja gone, Yhen slowly but surely began to overtake the world.
However, a pregnant woman had managed to escape the war and herself and a few of her followers found respite from the war south of Eda Forest, where Yhen's forces were too afraid to go near. She set up a town, and named it Pishon, after the legendary Tale of Pishon within the Rashji Code. The Tale of Pishon speaks of the return of the Pishons, and the freeing of Rashja, who would eventually free the enslaved world from Yhen. However, her dream was short-lived, as the Tale goes, that Yhen found out about Pishon, and enslaved the people, not letting their influence spread to his troops. For some reason, which no one can explain, he never destroyed the village, just simply posted giants at the entrances of the town.
Now, present day, things are about to change. Apparently the heir of Rashja has risen up, and is ready to free Rashja from his slumber. He is to come back, and save the world from the demon.
You are a villager in this town, and rumors are starting to spread about an upcoming war with the Pishon. It's up to you and your friends to save the world from Yhen, and free the Pishon.
Are you ready for your tale to begin?
